Poker Cheat Sheet
If you like to play "No Foldem Holdem" like I do then I have a great tool for you to help you at least start each hand with the best chance of winning. I've been reading Winning Low Limit Holdem by Lee Jones. I've taking his recommended starting hands based on table position and put them into a color-coded spreadsheet that is easy to use while playing online. It may make you fold more than you normally would, but in the long run, the odds will be in your favor. Of course, you still have to play the hands you stay in correctly - plus, have some luck.

Is Poker a Sport?
Ned Barnett makes some interesting points in his article discussing poker's popularity. It is crazy how ESPN has made poker into the phenomenom it now is. Baseball's TV numbers are going down and poker's are going up. I really don't see poker as a sport though. It does have some of the same elements in terms of strategy and discipline. I guess ig you consider pool or chess a sport, then poker could be in that group of non-sweat inducing games. For my money though, I will keep considering it a game.

Cards
Poker is an interesting game. I've been playing online lately and have been having some moderate success. It is a different game than when you are actually sitting around a table, however. I prefer the "in person" games over the "online" games. Both are fun in their on way though. Tonight, we are having a little game at my house. I'll let you know how I do. :)
