We went to Casa Fuente in Ceasar's Palace Forum Shops today. It is a swanky cigar bar - there nitch is high-end and very rare Fuente cigars including the famous Opus X. Bubba bought me an even rarer Opus X Forbidden for my birthday and we had a nice smoke there. It was very nice indeed.

We finally got down to some poker playing on Monday. Bubba ruled the table. He cleaned everyone out for at least 5 or 6 hours. It was great! I just wish I could have had a little of that luck :)

We are going downtown to old Las Vegas today I think.

So our Vegas Vacation is continuing nicely. We spent yesterday treading water basically. Still up for the trip. We went to Toby Keith's restaurant and had a nice meal. Whi new he could sing AND cook?

I think we are expecting a cold front today - down to 102 degrees. :)

We had a great day on Saturday. We made it to several different casinos and played mostly blackjack. Played a little craps, but had no luck at that. We neded the night by going to see former Saturday Night Live star David Spade at the mirage. He put on a hilarious show and was a great start to our week here.

Bubba and I arrived in Las Vegas at around 1am local time last night. Now I remember why I hate flying. he plane took forever to take off and there was no AC while we were on the ground. When we finally took off the AC barely started working. Ugh! Uncomfortable. USAir is like a flying trailer park.

Anyway, we are here now. Going out this morning to see if we can find a blackjack table or a poker table. I heard they have those out here - you just have to know where to look. :)

So, my poker buddy - Eric, from work - and I went to Las Vegas last week. We played a lot of poker, a little blackjack, had some nice meals and saw the sites. But, mostly, we played poker. In fact on Saturday, I logged 16 hours in the poker room at the Flamingo :) I can't speak for Eric, but I came back with more cash than I left home with. I had one exceptionally good night of poker - cashed in over $1k profit. I also figured out that I have a hard time laying good cards down even when I know I am beat. I probably would have won another thousand had I been able to lay some hands down - specifically KK and QQ. Oh well, live and learn, right?

Anyway, we had a great time. The travel was relatively painless. The hotel (The Flamingo) was nice (and free). The food was good - we had sushi one night at a restaurant in Caesar's called Hyakumi. It was excellent. We also had a few meals at the Flamingo's Champagne buffet which was very good as well.

So Roy and I are in Key West this week. It is 85 degrees and sunny - a very nice change from Frederick. Anyway, here are a few sunset pictures that I took yesterday evening from our hotel. I will post some full size pics later in case anyone wants to download for a desktop wallpaper.

Roy and I just got back from Las Vegas. We were there for almost a week. We had a great time. Good food, good football and basketball and some good times gambling. If the Redskins could only have won their game, we would have really had a nice pay off. But what can you do? Here are a few of my favorite pictures that I took while there. I took some interesting pictures of the fireworks show at Seacrets this 4th of July. We were out on the boat, so i could not hold the camera still. It made for some interesting effects.
